THE BIG WHITE - BESPOKE DALLAS CHAISE LONGUE

The Dallas model is one of our pieces of furniture providing compromise-free comfort with its enormous dimensions and large, soft cushions. It is a genuine, soft, every bit a home movie theatre armchair. The customer asked if it was possible to even further increase the comfort provided by this already extremely comfortable and sizeable piece of furniture, since he himself was a rather large person and standard furniture was never comfortable enough for him.

Our answer was, naturally, yes and we offered to make him a bespoke piece out of our Dallas model. We designed and manufactured a piece of furniture larger in both width and absolute length providing cosy room even for two people. For that purpose, instead of our usual standard Lush fitting, we had one made by a third party, which was sufficient for wider furniture, making the Dallas 18 cm wider than the basic 62 cm, resulting in a single armchair with an 80-cm sitting surface. Since we were thinking of making a Loveset, we placed two such surfaces beside each other, resulting in a set with the dimensions of a regular sofa. It has the design of a Long chair in length, allowing for comfortable lounging or a pleasant afternoon nap.

The truly spectacular growth in size is perceivable when we look at the standard sized Dallas armchairs placed in the second row, which seem quite tiny by comparison, although they obviously provide the same level of comfort as the bespoke armchairs in the front row. Due to the uniform design, the armchairs fit in with each other, despite the differences in appearance. The upholstery is ATLANTIC Bianco Otticio 501 leather made by the Italian Mastrotto Leather, resulting in an elegant and exclusive set of furniture, despite the large dimensions. The white colour is well supplemented by the brushed, stainless cup holder and the chromium-plated control buttons, while the black of the storage compartments provides a pleasant contrast.
